My 2026 entry, "Quiet," is a series of three digitally hand-drawn mandalas, each professionally printed on a 24-inch-square gallery wrapped archival canvas and finished with a wood gallery float frame.

As an introvert, I draw my energy from within—in the quiet. I create these expressions of reflection and discovery as I unwind and refuel from my days.

 

I begin at the center of a blank space and slowly work outward, layering shapes and colors and allowing my mind to intuitively lead the way. The circular structure of the mandala and the peaceful process of creating it reminds me that everything is connected, and that life is never ending. What begins as a drawing becomes a joyful meditation - a calming and rejuvenating exercise.

 

My tools are my iPad Pro, Apple Pencil, and the colorful space in my head and heart.
